The product is interesting for both the B2C and B2B market. Among other things, consumers can apply the coating decoratively. Currently, there is a small scale production line operational. Scaling up is considered relatively easy by the management.
The wood protection and coatings market is a global market. ▪ The European decorative paints & coatings market is estimated to represent 30% of the EUR 75 billion global market (2016). In terms of volume, the European region comprises approximately 24% of the 32 billion liter coatings volume globally.
The challenge ahead concerns scaling up the production and to familiarize the markets (sales and marketing) with this unique coatings concept. The use of biocides and environmental harmful chemicals are no longer necessary.
